If I Had My Own Freeway BillBoard?-What Would It Say?

That is an interesting question in so many ways, and it’s funny driving down south along the freeway the other day; every billboard was advertising for companies on their specials for sale. But each billboard is about spending money, which gets into our heads (that’s a good bargain), and nine times out of ten, we visit that store, or buy a great deal, maybe one that wasn’t even a thought. It’s like most big grocery stores are advertising Easter eggs and hot cross buns all ready. Lol, I’m glad I haven’t young kids; it makes it hard to take them shopping as we walk in; at eye height, there they are: the specials for Easter.

The art of advertising is the trade of all trades. If the right picture and words are there, we think about it, but also music comes into it. The shopping centres did a survey: if they play the right mind-relaxing music, it puts us into a frame where we want to pull out our cards and spend. There is some philosophy to that. How many times have you gone shopping with the idea of buying one particular thing and ended up spending more than you planned? I’ve been in that position a few times. Lol.

Words with Meaning.

I don’t really know if I have a stupid way of thinking where people took notice or thought, “What a dick,” and there are simple words that fit my billboard-there not ones in spending money but we do get to sell our idea for it to take notice with a bit seriousness to it.

1- Revive Respect – which emphasizes the importance of restoring and promoting respect in society – as it’s missing in a lot of ways, this is not there like it used to be, and one that is a must in life for all ages and cultures so generations coming through can do the same as they grow.

2- Attitude signifies the necessity to change our mindset and approach towards various aspects of life, which we use every day in the life, work, family, friends, shops, meeting people, sports, and so many other things that are in front of us all day, every day for whatever we do in life.

3-Peace- What is missing in this mighty world at the moment is a huge part of life in some parts of the world where there is violence, hostility, conflict, and a lack of freedom in everyday society. (Peace) It’s such a small word that can mean so much to people in the world at the moment. In the sixties and seventies, the word “peace” meant so much and had such a value behind it of what it meant. Sure, we had Vietnam, which 90% of the world didn’t want, and a conflict that people to this day believe should not have ever happened.

I could with a few other words that have a significant meaning to the way we live and the way society of the world is but also the society we live in at the moment, that seems to be missing, is it because of peer pressure of living, not enjoying the position we hold or just not inner happy with ourselves.

I know I get down sometimes and fight the curses of depression, but I always have the right attitude with whatever I do. I respect those I work with or stand in front of, of all ages and cultures. I look at smiling every day I wake as it’s another day I’m alive and well. Everyone I greet, walking or talking, the smile of happiness comes with it. Peace, I’d love to see the world come to terms of peace, but we all know it’s gone past that and will keep going. There is no turning back at the moment.

A simple way of illustrating a more harmonious life with a respectful attitude towards most things would be good, and a simple smile with good laughter is more of a thing I would love to see.
