If anything were to be said, a powerful practice for the upcoming year is setting goals that might need to be done, can benefit your progress in life, or are unrealistic. For whatever reason we do it every year by setting a goal that we want to achieve for personal growth or just plain happiness in life.
If we’re to reflect on the past and what benefited us, maybe take it to another level, by taking time to reflect on the progress made in the previous year. We can celebrate the achievements we have succeeded in and acknowledge areas that need improvement. Use these insights as a foundation for setting new goals.
The key is to set realistic and specific goals: break down broader aspirations into smaller, manageable goals. Make them measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART goals). You want to provide a clear roadmap to increase the likelihood of success.
My Goals We’re Set For Me.Lol.
**Every year I set goals for the new year; some are successful, and some just don’t happen for whatever reason. This year was different in some ways, but it’s one that was made by a three-year-old for me and one that hit hard and honest. Number two just makes complete sense in so many ways, to think about it realistically, both do very much when it comes to health. The third is on my bucket list, and one that needs doing while I’m at the age I can enjoy it.
Now, how did number one on my list of goals for 2024 occur? Easily, my granddaughter, whom I love so much and would do anything for. I left Perth at dawn, 5:30 am, to go to Mandurah and spend the day with my son, daughter, and her family at a beautiful resort. Upon arriving, Bubs was so happy to see me, she ran big and cuddled. Are you staying with us for the day, Pop and she were so excited.
As the day progressed, we were in the pool for around 5 hours. Lol, and Bubs was sitting on my knee and decided to play with my left man’s boob with laughter. She said, “You are really fat, pop. You even look really fat, but I love you.” Now that really hit hard as I know I have an obesity problem, but this hit home. When the little one of such beauty is so honest, it makes you realize that yes, I have a body issue. So number one is all go believe me for the better of health and long levity.
Number two is the easiest of all. Giving up smoking is something I really need to do, as it’s just a dirty habit and one that I really don’t enjoy at all if anything. It’s time – I should have done it in earlier years, but it’s not too late, and the time is right to do so.
The biggest one on the bucket list is to go overseas. Time to travel! This is something I’ve wanted to do for years but never had the money and things would pop up, changing the plan straight away. So, this year, off on the blue yonder I go. Vietnam is looking like the first destination on the bucket list.
Yes, we all make goals for the new year, with every bit of effort in making sure I keep to them. As for my health and the opportunity to stay a few more years longer with the kids and grandkids, is the incentive of all, and one I’m looking forward to.
