My Favorite Form Of Phsical Exercise! Haha Lets See What Decade Was That.

We all have a memory and some are good and some are bad, when it comes to full physical exercise it goes back a few years. Played Rugby League, and AFL till i was 42, surfed until my 50s and then got into the gym pretty full on until my hip operation and then it comes to a halt very quickly.

Now I can say I walk a fair bit when I get the time and don’t feel tired or worn out. As I work in extreme heat on roads, I’d cover 2 or 3 Ks with walking as we prepare the site with a long line of marking and putting out the stickies. I’m on the broom and shovel quite a bit throughout the day, cleaning up after every run of spray and seal. I wouldn’t say it’s full physical, but it keeps you on your toes and moving around for twelve to fourteen hours a day.

I do concentrate on a lot of stretching most parts of the body every night and if I’m up early enough in the mornings. Yeah, I’d like to do more because I’m very conscious of my body weight and try to look reasonable in the front cover department as I believe that’s important, well, it is to me. As we get older, I believe it’s important to do some sort of exercise and will look at getting back into it in the future. One thing I’m looking at seriously is tai chi as it is really good for the body, mind, and soul.

For now, I’ll keep doing my 11 days straight and 3 days off, working reasonably hard out in that extreme heat, which can be like a sauna with all of your PPE on. The road temperature can jump as high as 15 degrees, depending on where you’re located. I remember last year in Marble Bar it got as high as 67 degrees, but that’s why I get paid the big dollars, LOL. With that thought, at the moment, I’ll keep to the stretching and walks in between work. That’s okay, get the body right it will improve in my life of exercising.
