What Am I Most Proud Of In My Life…

Mmm, if I were to think about it with sincerity, it would be a few, and that’s not bragging, it’s just what I’m proud I have achieved in my years with different things.

A great achievement for me was being a sports photographer for some of the biggest sporting franchises in Western Australia for over 10 years and taking photos of some of the best sportsmen in their fields. I worked with Wildcats NBA – West Coast Eagles – Western Reds – WA Cricket – CAM – Drags Australia – Perth Heat – Rally Australia – Surfing and a few others. It was good and worked out well as it was different seasons, so I went from one to another. – That was finished on a bad note and a very costly one that I couldn’t replace.

It might take a few years to get over a situation, but we can bounce back. I was proud to achieve my Year 12 at 50 years old and obtain a diploma in sports. This accomplishment got me more involved in coaching. It was followed by obtaining my strength and conditioning Level One and Two, which set me on a good path in sports coaching.

They are all good, but the biggest thing I’m so proud of is my kids and grandkids because, somewhere along the line, I helped them to be who they are today, who are magnificent human beings. To watch all of them go and get ahead in life was something I’m very proud to be their dad and grandad. That is something any parent would be proud of is seeing your kids grow and achieve so many things in life, but also learn to accept the bad as well as the good, it takes a lot of worry out of you to know that your kids are doing the right thing, with teaching their kids the same concept as they have learned throughout their lives.

Yes, I’m proud of the different things I’ve done and achieved, and I’m also proud of myself for doing what I do now, which is not an easy position. But I’m doing okay for my age, which I’m happy about in a way, knowing I can still wake up every day and work and enjoy life to a good level.
