It Started As Your Norm –
The week usually starts as a normal workweek, with Monday feeling like any other day. However, for some reason, each day has been turning out better than the last. That’s quite remarkable considering I’m still on light duties in the yard due to a leg injury I sustained 7 weeks ago. But I’m making progress every day, and it won’t be long until I’m back in full swing. I don’t know what I’ve done, but whatever it is, I’ll keep doing it. LOL, as the bosses and CEO are really looking after me. The important ones of all the crew are really happy and seem to be walking around with an omen with them, one of great orra.
There Is Something Great In Everyday. You Just Have To Find It.
Into my second day of the week, and work is better than yesterday. There are only two of us in the yard as the crews are out on the roads. We are just cruising with minimal fuss, giving some of the big machinery a good scrub and performing maintenance in certain areas. As the day comes to a close, I get called into the office – have tomorrow off, buddy, on full pay – don’t have to tell me twice LOL. Mmm, a midday off, like that idea very much so.
Now, in between, I caught up with some old friends, which I can do when in the city for a while. I also did some studying, went on a few adventures, and spent time with my daughter and her family. Thursday was not bad at all; I was complemented on my work and attitude. I did 5 hours of productive work with a smile. In the evenings, I worked on some personal growth by learning a few things from online seminars and courses. It’s a good feeling when you make progress towards the goals you’ve set for the future.

Finishing On A Good Note.
When to work casual dress, knowing that it’s a short one for us, we were all called in as we have what is called (start of the seasonal road works). It’s basically letting us know where we are working – North, South, West & East – and the time of the season, which is 10 months straight. Our roster is 11 days straight, 3 off, with 12-hour days. With this comes the safety of the projects, what the shires and road departments expect with our work philosophies. From there I went and had what I call a body maintenance LOL; started off with a manicure for the feet and hands, then a private area wax with a full body massage. In doing so, the hips were worked on a fair bit in trying to loosen them a bit. I dropped into the dome to have a banana thickshake and catch a couple of mates.
We Don’t Have A Great Week, We Make It A Great Week.
As I sit and reminisce on the week I’ve had, all that comes to mind is “Wow.” We all would like every day and week to be productive, with the ability to achieve many goals while enjoying each day as it comes. I had one week that can be described as thoroughly appreciated, and I liked the idea that it’s a week that comes every now and then. It can help with what lies ahead as the year continues to progress.
