The question is, can I cook? Mmm, can I say yes, very good, or should I say really good? Not bragging, but when you are living with just you and the two kids, one must learn to cook. See, I came up with the philosophy many years ago: do I give the kids two-minute noodles, eggs on toast, blah blah, or do I really learn how to cook? I chose the second option and love cooking. The thought of creating a meal and then slowly enjoying the taste, aroma, and satisfaction of knowing you have cooked a great meal is a good feeling, and I’m glad I learned how to do so.

I try to cook healthy most of the time – here, I’ve made chicken, vegetables with herbs and spices, and black bean sauce with rice. If I cook a good meal, I always take a photo and file it away.
I like roast dinners, fish, and salads. I like to cook the fish in different ways – my favorite is fish curry with veggies. I also enjoy pasta meals, stir-fries. I can also bake muffins, cakes, scones, and most things, except custard. Haha, I never seem to get that right, it ends up burnt more often than not.

I have to admit, as well as loving cooking, I also love going out for a meal. Mostly, I enjoy Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Burmese, and mainly Malaysian food. Now, there is a good reason for this. I love creativity, culture, unique cuisines, distinct flavors, and ingredients with different cooking techniques. For me, the love of food is not just about indulgence; it also encompasses a deep appreciation for the art, culture, and taste of food from different parts of the world. Love it! Haha, maybe a bit too much. Lol.
