I’m in a small country town called Narrogin… it’s a farmer’s country by a long shot Wheat, Canola, & sheep.

Were working on the roads 40 K’s out off Narrogin and 25 K’s out off Wickein doing shoulders. I meet people and have a chat all the time were ever we go, the boys reckon i talk to the dead as i chat to anyone and everyone Lol.
I meet interesting people and some real characters but i chat too them as i do. The other day I met a farmer at the bowser but the chap was well and truly in his 70s walked with a hunch back and had skin like a crocodile hard and scaly from many years out in the weather, i shook his hand and introduced my self, and Bill had a really strong and firm grip with the shake, only a short man but knew the country and still loved getting up at the crack of dawn too work on his farm.

He had a cigarette hanging out off the corner of his mouth a light shirt with farmers overalls and the steel cap boots with his two kelpie dogs on the old and battered four wheel drive cab ute. You could see with Bill he enjoyed life and enjoyed his job and loved his dogs, talked to them like kids and made sure he introduced me to them, beautiful dogs you could see they were well looked after.
You Can’t Help Getting Older, But You Don’t Have To Get Old…
To Deny Our Age Is To Deny We Have Lived…
It’s true old age is like every thing else. To Make A Success Of It , You Have Got To Start Young .And yes thats brought through experiences off life that helps as we get older and the understanding that yes age is just a number and it’s all on how you want to live it that helps as we get older in life, Im 64 a long way to go of Bills age but id like to think in my late 70s that i’m still enjoying life maybe not working but moving and enjoying every day i live.
