Embrace Your Day – Off Memories…

The Weekend Gone –

Weekends Are A Time To Create Memories That Will Last A Lifetime.

It’s been a fun but strange sort of weekend in some ways. You know how sometimes the best time or one that you throughly enjoyed are the one’s we never plan, just seem to happen.

I had one of those never planed but happen and one that I‘m so glad it did. Short story – do you know how life just flys bye we all go our way with turns and straights in life, through doing so we don’t seem to catch friends that did mean a lot too you when they were there.

Distance Means So Little When Someone Means So Much.

As we grow older we all seem to go into different directions in life and we don’t seem to catch up with family and friends like we use too, but as the saying goes that’s life. For me on the weekend a mate come over to do a bit off electrical work around the house and mentioned he was catching up with friends I had not seen in years and I mean years.

I had the chance with catching up with four friends I hadn’t seen in 10 years or more, to say that it wasn’t great would be an understatement – There we’re five to be precise – Jeff & Shelly – Muzza – Arnie, Dave’o we met for a meal and had so much to chat about, Jeff had a fight with life and that horrible word cancer, I knew he was sick and kept in touch through social media but didn’t realise how bad he was and the level it was, but he was happy and believed he’s done ok, his wife Shelly just sat with a smile and watering eyes that showed the intense off there ordeal that was a huge part off their life.

Reconnecting With Old Friends Reminds You Of Who You Were And Who You Have Become.

Arnie was balder lost a finger through a work accident and was a lot like me been on his Owen for many years, Muzza had his up and downs lost his sister, parents, and lives in separate rooms with his wife and has done for many years but accepts it as part of their relationship, Dave’o had been through the same as Jeff fought a grade 4 cancer, wife off 20 years wanted nothing to do with it and walked out on him, so much for sickness and health, but he sat with a smile I’m here Mags fuck it I’m here… But with all that we had a laugh and remembered the old days and the things we did, talked about our kids, different cooking ideas, much, much more one close to us was music as Jeff and Dave are musicians with different bands and I loved music with a passion. Jeff has organised a jam session in a few weeks but with two brothers that I haven’t seen in 20 years or more and we were so close like glue just different directions, Gus & Phill all great people of life and ones that I throughly loved been in their lives once and back again just through one electrical thing needed in the house.

The Best Part Off Having Old Friends Is That You Can Pick Up Right Where You Left Off.

Friends are who we choose through life and become a family of true friendship, but one that can be an important part off our lives in so many ways and directions we take through a journey that has stories one’s that are graceful, happy and can have that small sadness but all are stories we develop through our friendship. With these guys our chapters had stoped after 20 years or more, we are writing again after missing ten chapters we gain to write and tell more stories for another 20 years plus, one’s that I’m looking forward in writing.

The Best Things In Life Are The People We Meet An Love, The Places We’ve Been, And The Memories We Have Made Along The Way.
