Yes we all do it and yes it’s a major part of life, and yes it pay’s the bill, and it does help you get ahead in life in a lot off ways. It’s what I call the essential part of our lives that four letter word Work, its the steady source of income that helps you live a good life.
I work in Civil Construction maintaining roads, airport runways, major carparks, or new roads to be established, my position is the roller operator, marking the job to be done, and the labour work that’s needed on site. Iv’e been off for a few weeks the idea was to rest the body but we hat to shift into a new rental so that went down hill pretty quick but id say it was worth it as we have a beautiful house and back in the area we love Helena Valley.
The bonus with this position is we travel all over Western Australia East, North, South and West it’s what we call living out of a suitcase which is ok but can be a bit strenuous depends on what town and location your in. Even though I have worked for the last 50 years off my life I really don’t mind as it still gives me a sense of purpose and direction in life, and the help off retirement just ahead.
The one thing I do love I take my camera and take some of the best sunrise’s and sunset’s that nature has to offer with some incredible land images as well. We travel a lot to destinations one week we can be south off Perth and the next day we are driving to the top off Western Australia we could do 3,000 ks in a week with driving.
It’s the sort of job were you have to get use of being a way from home and family at long times and can be a lonely job in a lot off way’s. I’m hoping and the plan is for a few more years and I’d like to think that my blogging is at at great level we’re I can use it as a retirement scheme, we all have goals and dreams but we all need to work towards them as well they don’t happen over night and being lazy.
